Try It...

Thursday, March 7, 2013

If you are an avid reader of ItsNotThatDeep than you know I like a clean minimal look.
I found that, aside from when I'm wearing jeans, the belt buckles are too distracting to my outfit.
I wanna add a bit of interest but I don't want that bit to be distracting.
Wearing my belts (and ties) backwards totally achieves this look.
It looks minimal and clean and a lot of times the detail in the front is more appealing than the one in the back!
As far as the back just gotta work with it. You either have to wear something to cover the back like a cardigan or you may find (like with the above belt) that the back is not that noticeable and may just blend in to your outfit.
Anyway try it and post your pics on my FACEBOOK page..I would love to see what you do!

Brilliant! And I have been known to do this as well.
I find sometimes the embellishment sits better backwards.
Love each look. xo

OMG, I do the same thing. I have a studded belt where the back is mostly studded. Now I'd rather have that showing than the buckle right?
Good trick :)

You know what's funny....I usually don't wear belts because I hate the hardware on them.......I definitely am going to use this trick......once again....teach me your ways :)))

What a great idea! I love belting, but find that I am not very creative with it. Totally adore the last look on this post.

I would never have thought to turn my belts around backwards. I do love a simple look though so I may try this some time.

Love the tips... Belts are such a great accessory that often get overlooked.

I completely agree with you...I actually wear most of my belts backwards as well. I find the buckle in the back is not nearly as distracting as when placed in the front. LOVE all of these looks!
