I often hear from other mom's that they do not have the time or energy to try to look stylish.
Obviously there are also a lot out there that don't really care about trying to achieve this, but those people wouldn't be reading this blog now would they?
The outfits I wear on my blog are outfits I do actually wear out and about, but this look is obviously more casual than the norm.
The point of this look is that you can look stylish and pulled together even chasing your kids around the park.
Lucky for all of us, sneakers are a hugs trend right now, so definitely no need for heels to look stylish.
This is a sporty, edgy vibe that's all me (actually wore this to the park the other day).
I wont get into the deets, I'll let the arrows speak for themselves.
The reason that I actually care about putting myself together, even at the park,
is because it makes me feel good.
When my kids were younger and I didn't get dressed for days on end I remember how horrible I felt..getting dressed and feeling put together can put a positive spin on your entire day..trust me!

I love how real you are - most bloggers would put heels on for their pictures and pretend they wore them to the park. You look great!

I agree with jennifer, most would pretend they are some kin kardashion wannabe while going to the park, I love this look!

I wish I could pull that through... You look amazing!
Love this look! Sporty, casual but still super stylish and chic! Great post, you are right in everything you say and I have a two year old nephew and so there are times where flats are the only option but that doesn't mean jeans and an Abercrombie hoodie will always have to accompany those flats. I'm sure you have inspired a lot woman who are mums or look after little ones:)
Take care,

yesssss!!! sometimes people look at me like im crazy when I roll up to the park (heaven forbid i not be in the horrible mom sweatpants and oversize tee) but I dont care anymore, i like to look presentable no matter where i go, including the park. thank you for representing the small subset of moms that actually do care...and looking DAMN good while doing it :)))

You are definitely one of the best dressed moms I know! You always look incredibly chic. I love this outfit, I love the layering and the leather and of course the sneakers.

I completely agree with you about getting dressed. Even if I'm under the weather, a warm shower and a put-together outfit makes me feel better! Love the layering you have going on!

I love the look of sneakers with this kind of look, but I can't seem to pull it off. Looks great on you, thanks for the inspiration!

i like that look, the bright color over the leather pants looks great and those are some dope sneakers! love it.
Other mothers have actually told me that I make the rest of them "look bad" because I put on a skirt instead of yoga pants, and wear makeup instead of using excuses. Screw em'! Thanks for the representation! Love your leather pants!

P.S. I always actually wear what I do in my pictures in my real life, even if that means wearing heels to park. It can't be assumed that we are all fakers.
You look great, I adore your style and sense of freedom in fashion!

I completely agree. I feel like CRAP about myself when I don't do something with myself. Sometimes sneakers are necessary, but that doesn't mean you can't be stylish about it. I vote more casual chic sneaker posts, I always love your inspiration
Girl, you are the real deal... but you know that :). LOVE IT and everything you do!!

I seriously look up to you and Brooke because I know moms who never have motivation to get dressed and I swear that I can not become one of those people or I will become so depressed and miserable. Not even kidding. You totally make me want to buy tennis shoes (other than converse) and I haven't owned tennis shoes for years.
