A Vivid Memory

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Do you have really vivid memories that hold no special meaning?
I have one of this sweater.
I so vividly remember walking into Bloomies more than 10 years ago and buying this ICB sweater.
Now that I think about it, the day stands out because it was probably one of the first really expensive articles of clothing I ever bought. I was probably having anxiety walking out of the store thinking "what did I just do?"
Some things never change.

On another note, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.
Thank you for all the Holiday greetings and personal e-mails, it was very touching.
I am still in a total holiday haze...toys everywhere, New Years Eve planning...lots to do,
but all fun, fun, fun!

Sheree you look super stylish as always my dear - don't know what I love more: the coat, flares or expert layering?! You look like you just stepped off the set of a really cool 1970s movie set ;)

Do excuse my commenting absence... I'm back on form now and will keep in touch more in 2013. I hadn't stopped visiting, just getting slack on the commenting! Hope your Xmas was wonderful :))

Happy New Year my dear, I do hope you have a good one!

I think that I have that anxious feeling every time I buy something and I know that my husband is going to see the price from our account and say, "REALLY, Ali???" And I'll tell him how much I needed it and how I've wanted it for so long (which he says I say about everything! lol) and then the cycle goes on and on...hehehe

You look amazing, and I think one can rationalize every expensive purchase by analyzing the cost per wearing. Something you love, that you'll keep for a good number of years, and wear again and again is a great purchase. (not that I always do this -- but I sure like the sound of it -- and it helps with the explanation to the husband)

Ha ha ha, I definitely have some vivid memories when it comes to buying some items. My most vivid is when I bought my first "designer" purse. It was a Kate Spade and it was over $300. I wanted it so badly but thought that was an outrageous price. I remember it went on sale for about $170 and I pulled the trigger, but I thought it was soooo expensive. Ha ha, 11 years later, $170 seems so cheap for a designer bag!! You look gorgeous!
