Happy Monday all!
I had a very active weekend which I always enjoy.
Mu husband doesn't always have weekends off so they can get pretty depressing at times when everybody around you is engaged in family activities and you are not.
I made the most out of it and had a lot planned for my kids..we had fun.
We also had an ALS walk yesterday in memory of my dad. It was a very emotional day but so many people sponsored the walk and the generosity was really touching.
On to my look.(or should I say emotional distraction)
Sometimes I wonder why I don't only buy secondhand, especially with all the great shops by me.
I got this scubaesque skirt over the weekend...looooove!
I was originally planning on wearing it with the grey shirt alone but I played around a bit and loved the way the added layer looked.
It was so beautiful this past weekend in NY, this was a perfect outfit.
What did you guys do?

Thanks so much for your comment on my post today :)
I NEEEEED to know what the top of that black net shirt looks like. I'm digging it. Do you have it elsewhere in your bloggity ogg? Is it new? Old? Please don't tell me it's old and that I can't get it anymore, cuz I feel I might have a breakdown this Monday morning, and I know you don't want to be responsible for that.
Thanks again for guesting mamacita!

Such a creative look! Not many could pull this off as fantastic as you did here! Gorgeous!
I understand about the husband not being around during the weekend (and week as well). Glad you got to walk to remember your dad. My 41 year old cousin passed away from cancer last month, a girlfriend of mine happened to be doing a cancer walk and walked in memory of my cousin. As difficult as the walks was they are also a wonderful way to remember all the good times. Too bad about your ticket! I got mine on the one month anniversary of her death.
I love the layers, the netting adds so much interest to this outfit. You look amazing!

This outfit is SO BA steaming hot!!! Love the layers... the shirts, skirt, booties... as ever. On another note, did not realize your father passed of ALS... my Grandfather did, as well, after living with it for 10 years. Such a sad disease. I am so sorry.

Excellent layering and so unique! Love this look !
The layering is so fun!!
Ps- I didn't walk the runway, I got pulled out of the crowd for my ensemble in between the shows... They made me tell the audience who and what I was wearing, and I was so nervous! LOL

I love the layers Sheree - the black netted top really pulls the look together. It definitely gives it that extra edginess, which you pull off so well. I know what you mean about turning to fashion for an emotional distraction - seems to work for me.
