A Little Off

Thursday, August 23, 2012

Other than the fact that I am noticeably bloated in these pictures
(and don't say I'm not, cause I am, for a very good reason mind you)
I also feel off because this look is a little too feminine for me.
I felt this when I was wearing it (birthday brunch) and I feel it as I am looking at these.
I felt waaaay too feminine in just the dress alone.
I added the touches of back in an attempt to make it slightly less feminine and slightly more edgy.
I definitely achieved what I wanted, but something still feels a little too girly..
(let's see how many more times I can use the word feminine..feminine, feminine, FEMININE!)

btw..if you crop a pic does anyone know how to make it the same size as your other one's?

Cute!! I'd do that but with more of a similar tone maybe, but I like the black too!

I use Photoshop, > file > Save for web > make all the widths 640 pixles (you might need to adjust to a different size for your format)

I do love your edgy fashion statements... It's also nice to mix it with 'feminine' pieces... Fashion is about experimenting and I think this look came out great!
I love the shoes!

Great pop of color under the lace!!

Think those leather sandals def edge it up! But I love the dress on it's own too!

I sometimes re-size my pictures but let me know if you figure it out because I have the same issue!

Just found your blog and I don't think you look bloated at all and I really like how you made this dress edgy with the black tank. It's really stylish and you have perfect legs also. Following you now

What's wrong with dressing a little "girlie" now and again?

The dress is darling and you look wonderful. Feminine suits you.

Great idea! I like the black contrast with the neon:)

As always a beautiful look dear! the sweetness of the lace, girly dress is nicely balanced by black accessories

Love that lacy dress, and the pop of neon from it!

Although the lace does suggest a feminine look, you definitely made it edgy with those shoes and the black top. It still looks awesome!

Love the yellow peeking out from under that lace--so pretty! I love the edge you added with the accessories.

Love this outfit! I love the lacey, girly dress, but maybe my style is more feminine than yours. It's more edgy with the shoes and the black. Maybe you can add a leather or cargo jacket to contrast the girly lace.

Depending on the program you use to edit your photos, there should be an option under Image, to adjust the sizes.

Too funny, when I saw that first photo I thought "Hmmm, that's a girly look for Sheree!" It's a little more girly than your everyday style, but equally as fabulous. You definitely bring the rocker chick in with those fabulous shoes! I think it's great to mix up styles every once in a while. I, on the other hand, am always girly, so I'm always wishing I could wear a "cool girl" outfit like ALL of yours!

As for cropping, if you use Photoshop, what I do is click on the crop tool, then on the top tool bar there is a title that says "Aspect Ratio" with a drop box beside it. Select "Use photo ratio". Hope that helps!
